A Legacy of Leadership in the Southern Piedmont
The Southern Piedmont Chapter (SPC) is a local chapter of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For nearly 40 years, we have served as a cornerstone for leadership and professional development in the Southern Piedmont region of NC. We are a vibrant community of public service professionals dedicated to excellence, integrity, and the advancement of diverse leadership in local and state government.
The National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) is the principal and most forward-thinking organization dedicated to the advancement of public leadership in local and state governments. NFBPA is an independent, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1983. With over 2,500 members, NFBPA has established a national reputation for designing and implementing quality leadership development initiatives of unparalleled success. Our members are leaders and managers of public programs and agencies in more than 350 jurisdictions nationwide. Thirty-six chapters support the growth of NFBPA at the local level. Mission: To serve as a catalyst for linking public and private organizations, as well as academic institutions to support the professional development of Individuals choosing public service careers.
We prepare and groom leaders by mentoring, coaching and providing leadership development for Individuals choosing public service.
We employ multiple modes of communication and cutting-edge leadership principles to enhance knowledge and skills for professional advancement of its members.
